I frequently present my work at conferences dealing with business history, urban history, planning, and public policy. Outside of academic settings, I have been invited to speak to a wide variety of groups and have advised companies such as Google about the history of cities and high-tech. I am happy to discuss my work (particularly issues such as copyright, piracy, music, urbanism, and economic development) with businesses, community groups and professional associations, radio and television programs, podcasts, and other forums.
